Reflection on Plagiarism and Cheating on Assignments

The main subjects I learned in this unit was plagiarism and cheating on assignments. This unit reflects the do’s and don’t on how to pass this class. I believe that informing the students on how to pass is helpful for the teachers and parents. Plagiarism is the use of copying someone’s words or ideas and using them as your own. For example, if you copy and paste a quote with no documentation of where you found it, that’s plagiarism. It’s illegal to plagiarism someone else’s work as your own.
However, the lack of knowledge some students have about plagiarism could effect their work. Unintentional plagiarism can be common because the student honestly believes they are doing nothing wrong. Although It Is unintentional you should expect some suspicion from teachers. Cheating has became common In America as more students are cheating themselves out of their work. Cheating Is being dishonest in order to gain an advantage in one’s school work.
For example, Your friend finished her essay before you could even start working on it. She leaves it with you for you to copy and turn it in. Inning your friends work instead of taking the time to do your own is cheating. In the end you are Just cheating yourself by not learning what you need to know. The teachers can easily spot when you cheat so it’s best not to do it at all. Time management will help you pass this course. Going back and checking the discussion board will help make a good discussion. If everyone Just forgot about the board then no one would interact with one another. However, being respectful Is the most Important when talking to other students. I believe time Is what I need to personally focus on during assignments.

My time management Is unrecognized and scattered. Personally, I need to make a schedule for my time and the assignments due. For example, the time I expect to spend on online courses in order to meet my goal is doing at least two subjects a day. I plan on working from 8 to 12 everyday except on Sundays. The best kind of work Is your own work. When ideas come from you it’s more genuine and you’ll feel more confident in your school work. This unit helped me understand how to pass this course. My confidence in passing is better now than it was before I read this unit. Could effect their work.
